NATORI JIU JITSU RULES

o You must follow all of the facility rules and expectations set by LifeTime Health and Fitness.
o All students must sign the LifeTime PARQ waiver.

o You are exempt from LifeTime non-member rules if you have an active LifeTime membership.
o Failure to follow LifeTime non-member rules may result in expulsion from the team.
o Use of showers or facility towels is not permitted. However, you may use the changing rooms and restrooms before and after class.
o Use of workout equipment, sauna, pool and other facility/property is not permitted.
o You MUST sign in at the front desk prior to entering the locker room or mat area every day.

o Students are expected to have excellent hygiene.
o Clean uniforms every day
o Clean body and clean mouth
o Trimmed and clean nails on hands and feet
o Wounds should be covered/bandaged
o If you think you may have a contagious infection or disease of any kind, you are expected to avoid the mat room until it has passed.
o Purposefully concealing (or lying) about skin infections or disease may result in your expulsion from the team.
o You are expected to wear footwear to and from use of the toilet or urinal during mat time.
o Street shoes are not permitted on the mat.
o You may wear wrestling or sambo shoes on the mat. You are expected to remove approved shoes immediately after leaving the mat room. Do not wear approved shoes in the locker room or restroom areas.

o You may not use the mat space without an authorized instructor present. You must receive permission for each instance of use from the owners of Natori Jiu Jitsu.
o Adult students (non-instructor/non-family) are expected to ask the instructor for permission to partner with youth students during Open Mat sessions.
o Hard/sharp jewelry or piercings are not allowed on the mat. Rubber wedding bands are allowed.
o Mouthguards are strongly encouraged during any session at Natori Jiu Jitsu.
o Headgear (ear protection), groin protectors, braces and mat approved footwear (wrestling shoes/sambo shoes) are permitted but not required.
o Joint braces with metal frames should have no exposed sharp edges.
o Your uniform should not have zippers, rivets or anything that can hurt your teammates or damage the mats.
o Blatant disregard for your teammate’s safety is not tolerated.
o Banned techniques: Striking, slamming, spiking, biting, scratching, fish-hooking, “oil checking,” eye-gouging, and hair pulling.
o Fighting, bullying and sexual harassment are not tolerated.
o Theft or vandalism of property (Student or Facility) is not tolerated.
o Natori Jiu Jitsu is not responsible for theft or loss of personal property. You are responsible for securing your personal property.
