JESS

What sparked your desire to become a personal trainer?
After experiencing first hand how much fitness and strength training positively changed not only my health but more importantly my mindset, I wanted to help others experience the same benefits. Helping people use movement as a tool to feel stronger, healthier and more confident in life is so rewarding and inspiring. Plus, the gym is one of my favorite places to be, so it is a win-win!

What is your fitness background?
I grew up playing multiple sports and have always been an athlete. I didn't really get into fitness consistently until I started Crossfit in 2012. I instantly fell in love with the barbell and my life changed forever. The strength, confidence, discipline and mental toughness that came along with it was truly life altering for me.

What is the best or most valuable exercise in the gym?
Squats....all of them.

What is your favorite movie?
Atomic Blonde

What is the most important book you’ve read?
Can't Hurt Me by David Goggins

What is your top hobby or passion outside of the gym?
Golf. What started out as a hobby is now equal parts obsession and therapy. I love that it is a constant pursuit of mastery and precision, and I will be forever chasing my next best round. I recently competed at the PGA National Club Championship in Palm Springs, California and it sparked my competitive drive and fire to want to compete at a high level.
