KATIE

What sparked your desire to become a personal trainer?
My desire to become a trainer came from not only seeing, but experiencing how impactful a trainer can be both on a client’s body and mind. I feel that if I can help you build a strong mind through training, the physical piece happens naturally.

What is your fitness background?
I have worked out as long as I can remember, starting as a kid Jazzercising with my mom to early morning Cindy Crawford workout tapes ....yes, tapes. I worked out through all of my pregnancies, for which I am so very thankful. That experience inspired me to want to help other women feel confident in their bodies. 9 years ago I received my ISSA Personal Trainer Cert and have recently completed my Westside Barbell Cert.

What is the best or most valuable exercise in the gym?
Honestly, the most valuable exercise in the gym is simply walking through the front doors of Lifetime! If you can get that done, the rest will take care of itself!

What is your favorite movie?
Legends of the Fall

What is the most important book you’ve read?
The Daily Stoic. I feel it's important to think about things you would never think to think.

What is your top hobby or passion outside of the gym?
Outside of the gym I love to read, plant and grow beautiful things, and be in the mountains on my horse with my family. Setting big goals like bodybuilding also keeps me on a good path with not only fitness but my health and mental toughness. I strive to do better each year and learn from every mistake.
