JAMES
What sparked your desire to become a trainer?
My interest in the fitness field comes from my own experiences growing up. I lacked access to proper information, which resulted in misled guidance and injuries down the road. That journey motivated me to become a coach who helps others avoid the same mistakes.
What is your fitness background?
I have been training since the summer of 2011. I started with young athletes, getting them ready to perform in high school and college. Word got around and soon their parents wanted to improve themselves as well. From there my career as a trainer continued to build. I stay educated with the most current health and fitness info. My goal is always to find more ways to help my clients be the best version of themselves.
What is the best or most valuable exercise in the gym?
I truly don’t believe that there is a movement or most valuable exercise in the gym. All movement is great, it just depends on your needs. That is where trainers come in and help you improve.
What is your favorite movie?
Movies uh? Well I have many. The Green Mile, Cinderella Man, Gladiator, Dumb & Dumber, The Fox & the Hound, The Iron Giant, Land Before Time, and Ace Venutra.
What is the most important book you’ve read?
So far the most important book I have had the privilege to read was, A Higher Call.
What is your top hobby or passion outside of the gym?
Outside of the gym, I spend my time outdoors getting lost with my dogs, and painting. Nature is a reminder of the simple things in life. Water, air, trees and animals.
