What sparked your interest in becoming a trainer?
My interest in becoming a trainer began through my own journey in health and fitness. Through consistent training and personal dedication, I learned that strength and fitness go far beyond physical results; they build confidence, resilience, and self-belief. Over time, I realized I was capable of challenging workouts, heavy weights, and goals I once thought were out of reach. That experience inspired me to help others discover the same strength within themselves and realize they're capable of far more than they believe.
What is your fitness background?
My fitness background officially began in 2011, when I became a certified Personal Trainer through ISSA. I continued building experience by teaching boot camp classes and training clients, while also competing in half marathons and Spartan races. As my passion for functional fitness grew, I earned my CrossFit Level 1 and Level 2 certifications- deepening my knowledge of movement, performance, and long-term health. In 2019, I joined the Lifetime team. I am honored to work in such a high-quality, community-driven environment. I also hold additional certifications in gymnastics, metabolic conditioning, and precision nutrition. These allow me to support my clients through well-rounded training that improves strength, performance, and overall wellness.
What is the best or most valuable exercise in the gym?
If I had to choose, the most valuable movement in the gym would be a toss-up between a back squat and a deadlift. Both are powerful, functional movements that build full-body strength, improve daily movement patterns, and create a strong foundation for long-term fitness.
What is your favorite movie?
Avatar
What is the most important book you've read?
The Atomic Habits by James Clear. If you can start or change a habit, you can change your life.
What is your top hobby or passion outside of the gym?
My favorite thing to do when I am not training myself or others is hanging out with my family and watching my kids compete in sports. I also enjoy baking (bonus points if it's high-protein).
